question
Q: The “Emu” players are proud cricketers with a tremendous sense of belonging and through the great work of Peter Clifford, former Emu, and NSW & Queensland First Class Cricketer, a number of Emu tours have still progressed.
The 2019 Emus tour was to Scotland and I was fortunate to be selected.
The 2019 Emu’s included a few players over the age of 21 and also included a few Queensland players. Peter arranged the tour through his Scotland connections where he played as a professional for about 4 years during his career

🏆🏆 AUSTRALIA ARE CHAMPS AGAIN 🏆🏆
Happy Monday everyone, I've never been more excited to wake up Monday morning as it turns out my prediction of a few months back that Australian would beat India in the final has aged quite well.
A hell of a tournament from both teams but as I said in my post a few months back, India haven't handled the pressure in big moments over the past decade or so and this was no different. Over 130,000 people in attendance, millions of people watching with all eyes on them maybe got the better of them I feel. Mind you, the Aussies played outstanding cricket I thought. Stuck to their game plans throughout and backed the process they had in place.
I don't like saying I told you so... but in this case I think I can, right? 🤔🤣
On another note, I am working a few roles as we head into the holiday season:
💻Senior Backend - Node/TypeScript/GCP - Melbourne bases
💻Engineering Lead - Ruby on Rails/Node/TypeScript/React/AWS - Melbourne or Sydney
💻Test Lead - Transformation project on an internal system - Sydney based
If you're interested in any of these please reach out for a chat.

Q: Who are the captains, coaches and leaders in cricket, sport, business or any field of life you admire and relate to most in terms of their achievements, respect and what they stand for?
If you’d like to mention why, please do.

A: Ricky Ponting for me. He was such a competitor and never took a backwards step on the field.
Even now in his commentary he just knows the game in such depth.
Love listening to him in commentary now days but loved watching him lead the team around the park back in the day.
