IMC is delighted to release the match schedule for the 2024 IMC Over-40s World Cup which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa.
The tournament will commence in style with an opening ceremony at the V&A Waterfront on February 18, before the first round of matches starts the following day.
The 12 teams in the tournament have been divided into two pools of six, and each team will play each other team in their pool between February 19 and February 25. Then, the top two teams in each pool will proceed to the semi-finals and then the Grand Final, while the other teams will head to playoff matches for positions 5-12. Each team will play a total of seven matches in the tournament.
Pool A comprises England, Australia, USA, Zimbabwe, Canada and Namibia, while Pool B is made up of hosts South Africa, India, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, UAE and Wales.
The games will be played on the top grounds in Cape Town, many of which hosted matches in the hugely successful IMC Over-50s World Cup earlier this year.
Tournament Director Roger Moult said, "This tournament promises to be a fascinating contest between 12 very keen and competitive countries."
The IMC website will also provide schedules, squads, links and much more here: https://masterscricket.org/o40swc-2024/
