In 1980, B grade achieved their biggest winning margin when they defeated Centrals by an innings and 173 runs. After Mark Dell and Bill Maguire cleaned up Centrals in the first day, the Waratahs middle order flexed its muscles and batted into the second day, making 9-360. Six bowlers shared the wickets as Centrals batted in vain, with Greg Johnson's leggies being the best return.

In A-Res grade, PETER SNELL (#384-pictured) took 7-67 with his leggies to eventually roll Ex Services and a narrow win for Waratahs after 75 from Mike Henderson on the first day, his best score for Waratahs.

In 1986, wicketkeeper MARK DYMOCK (#523) held 3 catches in an innings for 1st grade in their first innings demolition of TAS for 37 (Mike Muldoon 5-11) and another two on the second day for 5 for the match.
