In 1956, NORM BUCKLEY (#39), one of Armidale's finest sportsmen, took 10-55 (6-30 & 4-25) for A grade in their low scoring loss to Wests. Of note was a very young Terry Mackenzie playing for Wests and the very spread out nature of the game.

In 1961, ERIC SMITH (#82) made another entry on the Best Match Performance list with 80 & 5-54 for A grade v Churches. Syd Philp top scored for Churches.

In 1989, it was all about the fieldsmen, with wicketkeeper JOHN WHITTALL (#499 and MARTIN HADFIELD (#545) performing the rare event of both taking three catches in the same innings for 2nd grade v Ex Services. In 3rd grade, A WALMSLEY (#570) held 4 catches in an innings v Ex Services, all off different bowlers! Ex Waratahs player Lyndon strong took Waratahs for a century. A bad day for Waratahs as Ex Services made a clean sweep of Waratahs in all four grades.
