The competition serves as an important final step in the pathway for players and officials with consistent, strong performances rewarded with selection in national squads and competitions.

As the 18 Victoria Premier Cricket Clubs start their preseason preparations for the 2024-25 season the rumour mill is in full swing in terms of player movements and clubs gains and losses.

We’ve been in touch with the representatives of each club and here’s what we’ve been able to establish so far.

Q: Dandenong batter Brett Forsyth and Geelong all-rounder Stephanie Townsend have won the Jack Ryder Medal and Una Paisley Medal respectively at the Kookaburra Premier Cricket Awards held at the MCG last Friday.

Townsend’s win makes history for Geelong, as the first Una Paisley medallist for the club in Geelong’s inaugural season in the Women’s Premier XI competition.
