The West Indies could surprise in the upcoming World Cup.

 

A recent bold showing resulting in an 8-wicket victory over Canada in the trilateral series was just the tonic skipper Zamin Amin was searching for. The 59-year-old bowled his tweakers brilliantly. West Indies 2/147. Canada 143.

 

The Windies can boast of former Test players in Alvin Kallicharan and Lawrence Rowe, who were ambassadors in the developmental days of master’s cricket in the West Indies.

 

The search is now on for more players from places like Barbados and Jamaica. We have a closer look at the recently selected West Indies squad who will compete in the World Cup in South Africa.

 

Zamin debuted aged 43 for the USA international team for 11 years and has an insatiable appetite for success. He was inducted into the USA Cricket Hall of Fame in 2021.

 

He believes that his spin bowling attack might provide some surprises in South Africa.
