What year were you born?

2005.

Tell us about your cricket journey. Where did you start junior cricket and the clubs you’ve played for in senior cricket?

Started as a Valo junior for a few years then have played grade at Belmont ever since with a season at Fawley CC in England.

If you can share with our readers how you would describe yourself as a cricketer?

All rounder 

What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?

Being surrounded by some good blokes while playing a sport we don’t mind.

What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?

Winning the Valo dolphins grand final against a very distinguished city sabres side, a true gentleman’s game.

Who’s your favourite all-time cricketer?

Paul Walter.

Who is the fastest bowler you’ve played against?

John Church steaming in from the scoreboard end at beautiful Fawley cricket club was a scare.

Who is the best spinner you’ve played against?

Nick Foster, or Brad Cooper, never seen anyone turn a ball as much as coops did.

Who played the best innings you’ve seen firsthand playing with or against? 

Joe Merlino and Joey Gillard at Colts where we chased 108 in just 8 overs. Merlino ended up on 74 off 30 Ish balls, absolute gun.

Who is the best wicket keeper you’ve had the good fortune to play with?

Jack Donno, best hands I’ve seen.

Is there a young player in your club you’d like to nominate as a player to watch?

Kale Keast, absolute freak in the field with clean hands and can rip a few wrong un’s bowling too.

Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?

Kyle Munns and Riley Urquhart for their chat and constant efforts to keep the team invested in the game when the situation we are put in are tough.

What are the two attributes you like to see in a captain and leader?

A captain with a bit of belief and patience with our squad.

Favourite location, city or country as a holiday destination?

Queanbeyan by far because of the astonishing landscapes and plenty of top memories made there. Special mention to Pop World in Birmingham, a must visit.

Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?

Dad absolutely, no chance I’d be where I am now without him putting up with me and some of the places he’s taken me.

Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?

Out in town at NEX with some mates talking cricket and giving debriefs on games.

Who are the three people in the world you’d love to meet and talk to?

Claire Moore, Wayne Goldstein and James Goldstein.

What do you like to do to relax outside cricket?

Golf but most of the time it doesn’t help to relax.

Do you have a favourite quote?

When everyone is screaming and begging for their lives, look for the calmest man in the room. He is about to do what he’s been training for.

What are your goals for the this season?

Runs, wickets and a few wins up the sleeve would be class. Celebrate at Belmont hotel afterwards is mandatory.
