What year were you born?

2007

Tell us about your cricket journey. Where did you start junior cricket and the clubs you’ve played for in senior cricket

I started my cricket journey at my local club team Glenmore Park. I played there for my junior career and started at my local rep team Penrith. I first experienced grade cricket for Penrith, where I played a couple of games in Metro at the back end of the season. I have now moved to Wests where I have played for the last 2 years.

If you can share with our readers how you would describe yourself as a cricketer? Batsman, bowler, allrounder, wicket keeper etc

I am a bowling all-rounder who bats in the middle order and bowls leg spin.

What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?

The mateship. Spending my weekends with my mates is so enjoyable. Building bonds through cricket is the most important part about it and having a group of ten blokes who you can really enjoy yourself with is amazing,

What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?

The most memorable moment in my cricket career has to be when I scored my first hundred in junior cricket. Just the excitement I got when I hit the run to get me to triple figures in one that I will never forget.

Who’s your favourite all-time cricketer?

My favourite all-time cricketer has to be Shane Warne. Although I was never able to see him play, having his highlights on repeat constantly is so enjoyable. As a leg spinner seeing the way he was able to spin the ball is inspirational.

Who is the fastest bowler you’ve played against?

Any first grade quick at Pratten nets

Who is the best spinner you’ve played against?

The best spinner I have played against is Arush Soni

Who played the best innings you’ve seen firsthand playing with or against?

The best innings I’ve seen firsthand was Jack Clark last year against UTS. Not an innings that blows people away on the scorecard, but he stood up in a game where we really needed it and really showed leadership after stepping up to captain the team.

Who is the best wicket keeper you’ve had the good fortune to play with?

The best wicketkeeper that I have played with is Ethan Anderson last year in 3’s.

Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?

Two players that I admire in the club are Ben Gorham and Will Chesterfield.

Ben Gorham has a great love for the game. His love for cricket is something that not many have. He has so much passion towards the sport and gives it all he can every time he steps onto the field. He loves the club and being there for his 200th game was special.

Chesty is a great club man and just a good bloke in general. He shows lots of passion for the club and has lots of love for his teammates. He’s a great bloke to have around the club and a great bowler as well.

What are the two attributes you like to see in a captain and leader?

Two attributes I like to see in a captain is trust and courage. Having trust in your players is vital and I love to see captains that instill trust into the players and have confidence to encourage their players to do what they need to. A captain that has courage is one that I think is going to be successful. Seeing a bold captain that is not afraid to take a risk is one that I feel will be the most successful. I think having the fair of something going wrong and playing safe can do you more harm than good.

Which singer/band would you like to see perform live?

Drake

Who’s considered the biggest pest at your club?

James Barwise/ Rehaan Shyamsundar

Favourite location, city or country as a holiday destination?

Sunshine Coast

Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?

I’d say my dad him being there every game giving me his input has really helped me as a player.

Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?

When going through tough times I like to think why I did it in the first place and the joy that it brings me.

Who are the three people in the world you’d love to meet and talk to?

Three people I would love to meet would be Shane Warne, Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan

What do you like to do to relax outside cricket?

I love to play golf with my mates, and I play basketball during the offseason.

Are you working, at uni or at school?

I'm currently in year 11 at St. Doms in Kingswood.

Do you have a favourite quote?

“I have never lost a basketball game, I just ran out of time” Michael Jordan
