Pocket Profile: Jack Clark - Western Suburbs District Cricket Club

Jack Clark is an exciting upcoming cricketer and leader for Western Suburbs District Cricket Club, having already captained both 4th and 5th grade by the age of 17, winning convincingly in both outings.

Last season, Jack scored 417 runs, including a top score of 75 off 71 balls against Gordon in Round 13.

Jermey Nunan from Blacktown was pretty quick 

Who is the best spinner you’ve played against?

Never played against him, but Tom Brooks is the best spinner I've faced

Who played the best innings you’ve seen firsthand playing with or against? 

Harjas Singh has had a few knocks, which you just scratch your head at, going how does this bloke do this?

Who is the best wicketkeeper you’ve had the good fortune to play with?

Young Charlie Gray is one with a big future ahead of him

Who’s considered the biggest pest at your club?

Samuel Schembri Green, always up to some cheeky nonsense 

Favorite location, city, or country as a holiday destination?

Anywhere where there is a beach that has a hot climate 

Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?

My mother, she will act the same whether i get 80 or 0, but she also tries to remind me why I love the game when struggling and sometimes will give me a kick in the backside when I start sulking 

Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?

The sun is going to come up tomorrow morning and go down tonight regardless of how I'm feeling, so just know that I'm very fortunate and the challenges I face aren't real challenges compared to what other people go through, so just be happy every day

Who are the three people in the world you’d love to meet and talk to?

Micheal Jordan

I reckon all 3 of these elite athletes would be good yarn and would be interesting to talk to.


What do you like to do to relax outside cricket?

I like to be with my mates 

Are you at school, uni or working?

Currently about to do the HSC at Rosebank
