Santhosh Kumaran is a highly skilful and promising fast-bowling all-rounder for Western Suburbs District Cricket Club.
In his two seasons at the club, Santhosh has created a growing impression at Western Suburbs from his raw pace and ability to swing the ball both ways.
This season so far, Santhosh has managed to take 9 wickets at an average of 15.11, including figures of 3 for 26 off 12 overs in a narrow win against Mosman in Round 6.
He is also opening the bowling for the Western Suburbs third-grade side whilst being a part of the Green Shield squad as well.

What year were you born?
April 2009
Tell us about your cricket journey. Where did you start junior cricket and the clubs you’ve played for in senior cricket?
I started playing cricket as a 6 year old for s St Ives cricket club back when they were in the Hornsby association and then after playing there for 2 years I played for Hornsby cricket club. I played reps for Hornsby from u11 to u13 before my family moved houses to the Blacktown area . In under 14s I played for the Hawkesbury junior cricket association reps and played club for Schofields cricket club during that time I also played for the Pennant Hills Pumas in the shires competition and then last season I played for Penrith reps and started my first year at wests by making Green Shield.
If you can share with our readers how you would describe yourself as a cricketer?
I would say at the moment I am a fast bowling all-rounder.
What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?
Everything other than losing
What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?
My most memorable moment is taking four wickets In a green shield game against Hawkesbury

What are your goals for this season?
To win Green Shield and whatever grade I am playing in and to take lots of wickets in Green Shield and Grade
