A: 1. Cook
2. G. Smith (c)
3. Lara
4. Kallis
5. Tendulkar
6. Root
7. Sangakkara
8. Warne
9 Akram
10. Bumrah
11. McGrath
Joe Root has gone from England's best since 2000 to England's best ever these past 5 years.
So many great Australians to choose from, but Warne and McGrath did it so bloody well for so long.. Cummins likely to replace McGrath once all said and done. Wasim is the greatest left armer I've seen.
Kallis in my opinion is the greatest of all time, closely followed by Sangakkara. Tendulkar best pure Batsman I've seen, Lara best Left Hander I've seen. 12k Test runs as an opener is unbelievable, while big Biff's record as an opener and captain speaks for itself.

Q: Who played the best innings you've seen in a game you played?
A: Mat Begbie in an early season One Day fixture - Melbourne v Fitzroy at Schramms, 2017/18.
I'm sure I've seen a longer innings, or a bigger score, but this was the best when you take everything into consideration.
'Beggers' had been dealing with serious health issues for the last few years - most notably a broken neck whilst playing football, which had him sitting still in a hospital bed with a Halo attached to his shoulders for months - and we weren't sure if we would ever see the 2012/13 John Scholes Medallist play for the Dees again.
The Lions batted first, compiling 219 on a typical early season Melbourne wicket - Schramms I believe had hosted it's last game of footy only a couple of weeks earlier - with yours truly helping them to that score with my 7 overs going for a very economic 53. Beggers, opening the batting with MCC stalwart Peter Petricola, got us off to a flyer - with the opening stand finally being broken after they had put on 149. After the dismissal of Pepsi, Beggers kept motoring along - with an array of cuts, big off drives, and his trademark sweeps and slog sweeps, sending 4 balls over the net and into the backyards of the neighboring homes.
when we passed their score 1 down, Beggars had compiled 129 off 149 balls, with 11 4's and 4 6's. The best knock I have seen. Unfortunately, Beggers health problems returned, and he only made 2 more appearances for the club that year - his last for Melbourne - before heading home, where he captains and plays for his beloved Wendouree today. It's a shame it ended how it did, as there's no doubt amongst us who had seen him play that he could have made a proper crack at the next level - but fortunately for us that day in the 2nds, we got to see it one more time.
