Peter Drinnen and I are reigniting our Indian cricket skills tours to Sachin Bajaj’s Global Cricket Academy in Mumbai next year. We will be looking to depart Brisbane on Monday April 15th and return on Thursday 25th 2024.
The 9-day training camps are for serious cricketers of solid standard and comprise of both skills sessions, net sessions, centre wicket and game situations and are staffed by local established Indian coaches and overseen by Peter and me. We have access to plenty of local net bowlers as well as the Indian coaches to offer an optimal sub-continental cricket experience. You will get a stack of cricket!
In past years we have had Qld Bulls players such as Jack Wildermuth, Jimmy Peirson, Sam Heazlett, Nathan McSweeney, Bryce Street and James Bazley in our touring party along with many young players from around Qld but players from other states are more than welcome to join us. We have had players from New Zealand and NSW join us in past years.
You don’t have to be a representative player; you just need to be keen to improve your game and experience the passion of cricket in India.
There will be opportunities to check out a few Mumbai sites during our stay. It’s always a great experience and one all cricketers should enjoy at least once.

Its important to share there are options available for anyone who is thinking of spending next winter season in the UK and your flights can tie into the overall cost if your UK clubs are flying you across - we can simply negotiate the balance. Ask us about that option - travel via India enroute to your UK winter.
The price is $5,200 and includes airfares, shared good quality accommodation, all meals, all your cricket and training shirts and caps. Numbers will be limited.
To lock in the tour and make it work we need to obtain firstly expressions of genuine interest to gauge realistic numbers. For those who wish to confirm a spot we will then require a non-refundable deposit of $1,500 by end of July 2023 and the full balance of payment to be made by December 2023. To keep the cost down we must try and utilise a group booking system and therefore must establish the exact numbers well in advance. You can set up a payment scheme, but the payment has to be finalised by December 2023.
We’re advertising early to obtain committed numbers because if we don’t book as a group the costs will blow out as we must meet payment deadlines along the way.
We would love to get this great trip back up and running. It’s a beauty.
