The St George District Cricket Club Poidevin Gray team from 2003/04 to 2007/8 won 4 premierships in these 5 seasons whilst placing 4th in the middle season of 2005-06

Let’s take a little trip back and look at some of the teams, the players and their campaigns.

 

Premiership 2 – 2004/05

This campaign was led by Jono Dean and the team managed to win 6 from 7 round games. St George then accounted for Randwick Petersham in the Semi Final at Hurstville Oval to progress to the Final. Interestingly, Trent Copeland was the teams Wicket Keeper for the 2nd season in a row.

St George 7-244 (S.Cazzulino 98, J.Emerton 43) defeated Manly 172 (J.Emerton 3-24, J.Dean 2-11, S.Dean 2-24)

Shane Lee Medal – Steven Cazzulino with 98 runs

Season Batting – Jono Dean 385 runs @ 40, Steven Cazzulino 318 runs @ 39.8, Anthony Brooks 211 runs @ 25.4, Josh Emerton 196 runs @ 32.7

Season Bowling – Philip Wells 15 wickets @ 10.9, Sean Dean 14 wickets @ 16.6, T.Laws 14 wickets @21.3, Moises Henriques 9 wickets @ 13.3

Season Wicket Keeping – Trent Copeland 9 catches and1 Stumping, Tom Sangster 5 catches



Moises Henriques gets the celebrations started climbing over skipper Jono Dean and a significant note of interest is legendary NSW pace bowler Trent Copeland in keeping gear.
