Sutherland had earlier bowled and fielded well to restrict Mosman to 8/150 off their 20 overs. After Jake Wilson took 2-4 off the first over of the innings, including the dangerous Daniel Hughes for a duck, Mosman then recovered to be 2/111 off 14 overs. Shane Watson’s dismissal of Johan Botha off the first ball of the 15th over started a collapse that saw Mosman lose 6/39 off their last 6 overs. The scores off those overs were 1/1, 1/5, 1/5, 0/5, 2/8 & 1/15. Jake Wilson was the best of the bowlers with 4-23 off his 4 overs.
Sutherland will now play Sydney in the Sixers Conference final next Sunday 17th December at the SCG (2.30pm start). The winner will play the winner of the Thunder Conference final in the Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup final under lights at 7pm.
Sutherland went on to lose the SIxers Conference final to Sydney, who went on to win the Kingsgrove Sports T20 final over Penrith.
