Jordan Watson has come through the Cricket NSW Pathways and represented NSW Metropolitan Under 17s and 19s at National Championships.
A tall 6-foot 5-inch batter Jordan can bat anywhere from opening to the middle order.
Jordan has captained the Penrith Poidevin Gray team and after a couple of seasons in first grade he's looking forward to a rewarding and run scoring 2023-24 season.

What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?
Playing with my mates and the lessons it teaches you in life.
What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?
Making my 1st grade debut for Penrith

Matthew Hayden
Who is the fastest bowler you’ve played against?
Ross Pawson from Northern Districts
Who is the best spinner you’ve played against?
Devlin Malone from Sydney University
Who played the best innings you’ve seen firsthand playing with or against?
Brent Williams scored 188 against UNSW last season. He got caught down the leg side, I’m convinced he would still be batting today. Ryan Gibson scored 100 in a T20 last year and got out with 5 overs left, that innings was also very impressive.
Who is the best wicket keeper you’ve had the good fortune to play with?
Tyran Liddiard. Safe as houses
Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?
Brent Williams: Never seen a bloke hate getting out as much as he does.
Tyran Liddiard: Always scores runs in big games. Great teammate and someone who hates to lose.
What are the two attributes you like to see in a captain and leader?
A captain who has great communication skills and will always back their players.
Which singer/band would you like to see perform live?
Eminem
Who’s the king of selfies at your club?
Liam Doddrell, posts at least two selfies on Instagram a week
Favourite city in the world to visit?
Rome
Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?
My dad, he has always believed in me.
Michael Wholohan and Grant Lambert have both been amazing coaches along my cricket career so far.
Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?
I believe that success is going to feel even better after you have gone through challenging times. That helps me stay grounded.

Eminem, David Goggins and Conor McGregor

What do you like to do to relax outside cricket?
I love to play golf, one of the great sports and spend time with family and friends.
What do you do for work?
I do a bit of coaching part time at Complete Cricket
