Tell us about your cricket journey

Started playing cricket in the Blacktown comp for Plumpton Glendenning as a junior after switching from baseball at 11 years old. Then moved up to Springwood where I played from U14’s through to senior cricket. First started playing grade at 17 for Hawkesbury where I played 4 seasons there and then moved to Penrith in the 2022/23 season. Haven’t looked back since!

If you can share with our readers how you would describe yourself as a cricketer?

Middle to top order batsman that likes to be patient at times but also can get the run rate up when required. Prefer more text book shots

What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?

Putting in practice discipline and developing great friendships with teammates

What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?

Taking a hat trick in juniors, was never really a bowler but managed to get the ball on occasions. All three of the bowled! Still a core memory for me

Who’s your favourite all-time cricketer?

Ricky Ponting, amazing pull shot!

Who is the fastest bowler you’ve played against?

Connor O’Riordan, he bowled a bouncer to me in my first game of 3rd grade and lidded me and remember thinking that’s quick

Who is the best spinner you’ve played against?

Danial Khan. Didn’t play too much against him but played with him at Hawkesbury, would always have the batsmen in all sorts of trouble. Great left arm leggie.

Who played the best innings you’ve seen firsthand playing with or against?

Scott Jobling, scored a century against Western Suburbs in the 2023/24 season. Grittiest innings I’ve seen first hand and loved watching him bat during that game.

Who is the best wicketkeeper you’ve had the good fortune to play with?

Connor Liso, played for Hawkesbury. He was so technically perfect, and I owe him a lot as he mentored me when I was keeping too

Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?

Peter Gregerson, Hates losing and loves to celebrate a win. Gets stuck in when things get tough too. Bowls some craft off spin too.

What are the two attributes you like to see in a captain and leader?

Someone that leads by example and doesn’t beat around the bush. Says what needs to be said no matter how harsh it is but addresses the elephant in the room.

Favourite location, city or country as a holiday destination?

Hawaii, such a nice place to unwind and relax.

Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?

Definitely my mum and dad. I’ve always strived to make them proud in whatever I did. Dad definitely pushed me more in terms of cricket skill and thinking like a cricketer whereas mum helped in the nurturing and growing as a person. They have also supported me in whatever I have done in life.

Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?

Surprisingly, listen to orchestral music. It really helps clear my head and motivates me to be better and move forward.

Who are the three people in the world you’d love to meet and talk to?

Ricky Ponting, Nathan Lyon and David Warner

What do you like to do to relax outside cricket?

I enjoy watching any type of sport, playing golf, rewatching How I Met Your Mother and spending time with the missus.
