Queanbeyan District Cricket Club is one of the oldest cricket clubs in Australia - Our origins have been traced back to the 1860's. The club has grown and prospered since then and has a rich history of achievements both on and off the field.

Q: Mark Thornton had a long and distinguished cricket career playing in the ACT. Mark has won multiple first grade premierships and represented ACT from under age team’s rights through to the seniors.
He was part of a record breaking ACT batting scorecard and now lives on the Gold Coast running his own business.

Q: Peter Solway was one of the six inaugural inductees into the Cricket ACT Hall of Fame in 2019.
In 2013, ACT Cricket awarded him Life Membership in recognition of his stellar and highly decorated cricket career.
Peter Solway played first grade cricket for Queanbeyan District Cricket Club and Australian National University Cricket Club, scoring 9,824 runs in 277 games at an average of 41.45, with his highest score being 339. In ACT first grade premier cricket, Peter hit 13 centuries and 65 half centuries.

He played all his junior cricket in Bathurst and represented Under 19 NSW Country at the National Championships.
In 2022-23 Nic made his debut for NSW Country/ACT 2nd XI team and plays first grade cricket for Queanbeyan District Cricket in the ACT Premier Cricket competition.

Michael Hussey is easily top of my list. I’ve read his autobiography about 13 times.
