Damian Rapisarda is a longer standing Tigers player who has made major contributions to the culture of the club. Damian is a great club man and respected by all.
What year were you born?
1996
Tell us about your cricket journey?
I started playing with Five Dock cricket club a tick over 20 years ago now. When I went off to high school I started playing cricket for my school and bounced around a few clubs outside of school cricket to try and get more out of summer. At 16 I got introduced to Sydney Cricket Club and haven’t looked back.

If you can share with our readers how you would describe yourself as a cricketer?
I’m a bowler who on flat tracks likes to think I can bat.
What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?
I love the time spent in the sheds. I really enjoy the time with the other players playing such a great sport.
What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?
I’d have to say scoring a competition winning 75 for my school team in a Christian Brothers cricket carnival.

Graeme Smith
Who is the fastest bowler you’ve played against?
No idea they are all too fast.
Who is the best spinner you’ve played against?
Ben Manenti
Who played the best innings you’ve seen firsthand playing with or against?
Daniel Mullen - Almost got our team home from nowhere single handedly.
Who is the best wicket keeper you’ve had the good fortune to play with?
Jack Kent the kid is a jet and seems to get better everyday.
Is there a young player in your club you’d like to nominate as a player to watch?
Aditiya Thakare - Bowls ripping leg breaks and his batting has come on leaps and bounds. I tip him for a big year.
Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?
James Caprarelli - Fights for every inch and lets you know about it.
Nathan Doyle - One of the most natural looking fielders I’ve seen.
What are the two attributes you like to see in a Captain and leader?
I want to have a leader who fights on the battlefield with you and someone who puts others before themselves.
Which singer/band would you like to see perform live?
Paramore or The Killers
Who’s considered the biggest pest at your club?
Jack Kent he’s a tough bloke to be around for a training session let alone a day.
Favourite location, city or country as a holiday destination?
Can’t go past Rome so much to see and even more to eat.
Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?
Ben Manenti we grew up together and pretty much never stopped playing cricket. He got me to Sydney as a youngster to trial for Greenies
Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?
I always try to look at the positives and know that the tough times will pass.
Who are the three people in the world you’d love to meet and talk to?
I’d love to meet Graeme Smith, Tom Hanks and Hayley Williams
What do you like to do to relax outside cricket?
I love going to the beach or playing with my dog.
What’s your occupation?
I’m working as a teacher at St Kevin’s Eastwood

The harder I work the luckier I get.
What are your goals for the next season?
I’d love to play finals cricket again
Can we ask, what would it mean to you to play first class cricket?
It would be an absolute dream of mine but I might need to take a few more poles first.
