If you can share with our readers how you would describe yourself as a cricketer?

I am a top order left hand batter.

What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?

It’s a game where you are always in the fight, it’s not over until the final ball is bowled. I also love the friends you make on and off the field. Scoring runs is pretty good too!

What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?

From a team perspective it would have to be winning a 2nd Grade premiership with a terrific bunch. From a personal perspective it would be either scoring 81* on my NSW Second XI debut or the double hundred I hit in second grade.

Who’s your favourite all-time cricketer?

Bobby Hook from the Woy Woy Sharks.

Who is the fastest bowler you’ve played against?

I’ve been lucky enough to play against a few, but Doug Bollinger would have to be right up there.

Who is the best spinner you’ve played against?

Nathan Hauritz

Who played the best innings you’ve seen firsthand playing with or against?

Tim Sparke hit an incredible 90* in a T20 at Coogee Oval against a very strong Randy-Petes side hitting the ball to all parts. David Dawson also hit about 5 centuries against me over the years and was always great to watch.

Who is the best wicket keeper you’ve had the good fortune to play with?

Beau McClintock

Is there a young player in your club you’d like to nominate as a player to watch?

I couldn’t split them, but I’d have to say Will Fort, Nathan Doyle and Kain Anderson.

Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?

Nathan Robertson-Ball and Daniel Smith. Both incredibly skilled and hungry to do their best every time they stepped onto the field.

What are the two attributes you like to see in a captain and leader?

Someone who is proactive and not reactive, that keeps their cool under pressure and someone who backs in every one of their players to the fullest.

Which singer/band would you like to see perform live?

Michael Buble

Who’s considered the biggest pest at your club?

Might have to go with Ellis Sherriff.

Favourite location, city or country as a holiday destination?

I’ve recently been to Canada and it is pretty special there.

Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?

My wonderful coaches and my mum.

Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?

I try to go off my experience and focus on the next ball.

Who are the three people in the world you’d love to meet and talk to?

Robert Downey Junior, Roger Federer and George Clooney

Robert Downey Junior

What do you like to do to relax outside cricket?

I love to play golf but it’s not always relaxing, other than that, spending quality time with my boy.

If working, what do you do?

I’m a primary school teacher.

Do you have a favourite quote?

Rome wasn’t built in a day – Justin Rodgie.
