Tell us about your cricket journey.
I am Currently playing 1st grade for Sydney Cricket Club and started my cricket journey in primary school playing Milo Cricket. I then started playing club for Leichhardt Wanderers and then for Concord Briars.
If you can share with our readers how you would describe yourself as a cricketer?
Fast bowler
What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?
I love being able to play the sport that I love with my friends and being able to share the passion of the game with others who feel the same way. I also love that cricket is both a team and individual sport.
What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?
Getting to play with Rachel Haynes, Alyssa Healy, Sammy-Jo Johnson and Maitlan Brown for Sydney Cricket Club.
In Season 2022/23, I clean bowled Phoebe Litchfield for 5 when she played for Penrith and averaged 92 for the season in Premier Cricket. This was definitely a highlight and memorable moment for me.

Jodie Hicks 98 off 116 balls at Drummoyne oval against Manly in the 2023/24 season.

Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?

What are the two attributes you like to see in a captain and leader?
I like my captain or leader to be easy to talk to and approachable.
I also admire when a captain ability to lift the team when the game isn’t going your way and never showing signs of giving up.

Where do you find inspiration that gets you through challenging times?
I like to remind myself why I play cricket and that there are always going to be ups and downs along the way. For me, cricket is more about the way you come back from challenging times both mentally and physically. This is what inspires me to keep going and persevering.
What do you like to do to relax outside cricket?
Watch Netflix, hang out with my friends and family, go to the beach
What do you do for work?
I have my own tutoring business ‘Excel Tuition’ and are currently interning with GWS (AFLW) as a strength and conditioning intern through my university (UTS). I am studying sport and exercise science

What are your cricketing goals?
My goal is to continue playing and performing in first grade and if the opportunity presents itself, play at an even higher level. I also want to keep enjoying the game as this is what makes the challenging times a little more easier.
