Mac Jenkins is the proud owner of UTS North Sydney first grade cap number 669 after he made his first-grade debut for the club against Sutherland in his first season for the club in 2019/20.
A talented batter and left arm orthodox bowler Mac has come through the NSW Pathways and is looking forward building on his 2022-23 season of 737 runs and 29 wickets

What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?
Without doubt the camaraderie and the competitive spirit.
What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?
A few spring to mind including captaining Australian Under 16 team in some games against Pakistan. But I can’t go past being able to contribute to a first grade win last year at Chatswood Oval where I scored a 100 and took 6 wickets.

Never actually played against but grew up playing my pathway cricket with him and it’s Tanveer Sangha.

Never actually played against but grew up playing my pathway cricket with him and it’s Tanveer Sangha.
Who played the best innings you’ve seen firsthand playing with or against?
Ryan Gibson made about 190 against us 2 years ago at North Sydney. Never seen someone hit the ball so cleanly.

Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?
Skills it has to be Justin Avendano and for competitive spirit you can’t look past Robbie Aitken.
What are the two attributes you like to see in a captain and leader?
I think the key attribute for any leader is clear communication. Whether it's on/off the field, a leader has to have an open line of communication with all of their players.

When faced with a challenge, look for a way, not a way out.

Golf (but definitely not relaxing at times)
What do you do for work?
Run my own coaching business (MJCOACHING)
Currently working part time as a paralegal and 4th year law student.

Can we ask, what would it mean to you to play first class cricket and for your country?
It is obviously a dream of all cricketers, and I am no different. It would be an extremely proud moment for both me and my family if I got the opportunity at the highest levels, however, for now I am focusing on what’s in front of me and that’s the upcoming season with North Sydney.
