Lana's record-breaking haul at Bon Andrews

On a beautiful sunny day perfect for cricket, the UTS North Sydney Brewer Shield side took the field against a quality side, Parramatta. The Bears posted 5/186 in their 50 overs, led by Varada Vinay with 89. But it was Lana Sredojevic in the Parramatta innings who stole the show for the Bears.

Lana truly shone with the ball, delivering an outstanding performance taking 7 wickets for 22 runs off 10 overs, including the last two wickets of the match in the last two balls of her allotment. This bowled her team to a well-deserved 19-run victory. It was a true showcase of consistency, a quality Lana had carried over from her previous games.

Lana’s remarkable bowling performance not only stands as the best figures ever recorded by a female Bear (and the first ever 7-wicket haul) but also ranks as the third-best figures in the Brewer Shield competition since 2006. It was a very well-deserved achievement, a testament to her hard work, dedication, and consistent performance over the course of the season. After 14 of the 15 rounds of the competition, Lana has taken an impressive 21 wickets at an average of 9.8, placing her third on the Brewer Shield aggregates across all clubs.
