Parramatta District Cricket Club - team of the 1960's

Parramatta District Cricket Club | February 24, 2023

The 1960s was a golden decade for the Parramatta (Central Cumberland) District Cricket Club.

Its playing ranks were rich with an array of talented players who could stand alongside the clubs past champions of any era (eg: Richie Benaud, Doug Walters, John Benaud.)

The club flagship, the First Grade team, kept the “Two Blues” amongst the competitions elite clubs during this period of time by annexing the 1964/65 Premiership (the clubs third such title), finishing runners-up in 1965/66 and 1969/70 (after being minor premiers) and reaching the 1962/63 semi-finals.

The decades crowning glory was the capture of the coveted Club Championship in 1969/70 for the first time.
