The 1970's saw a period of unrivalled success for Stockton & Northern Districts Cricket Club
Des Fisher, left arm spinner, contributed greatly through the 1960’s and peaking in the 1970’s. With best bowling in 1st grade of 8/23 v Waratah at Lynn Oval on 6th October 1971, Des deserved a special mention as a SDCC great player in the 1970’s.
