In 2020 Stockton & Northern Districts Cricket Club approached club stalwart and Life Member Ron Hancock to name his team of the decade for the last five decades along with a team of the last 50 years (1970-2019).
Ron has been heavily involved with Stockton & Northern Districts Cricket Club for over 50 years.

James Hogg (Captain)
James represent Newcastle, NSW Country and Australia County as well as captaining the club for over a decade.

- Represented Australia Country against India in 1985-86
John Rowan
John was a local junior who was a right handed opening batsman. He spent many an off-season playing in Somerset for Uphill Castle or with Darwin Cricket Club in the Northern Territory.

Craig Evans
Craig was a stylish batsman who represented played a key role in the clubs success in the 80's. Craig Represented Newcastle, Northern NSW and NSW Colts
Chris Beatty
Chris was an outstanding right handed batsman who represented NSW in 9 First Class matches.
Represented Newcastle and Northern NSW
Lead the NDCA batting averages in 1984-85 with 587 runs at 83.86
Mark Kelaher
Mark was a stylish right handed batsman who joined the club from the NSW South Coast after spending a number of years with Petersham - Marrickville in Sydney.

Tim Caban
Tim represented bot Newcastle and Queensland and was a part of the clubs renowned Cessnock connection

- Lead the NDCA bowling averages in 1983-84 with 46 wickets at 13.26
Gary Brazier
Garry was a hard hitting and destructive left handed batsman known to take down opposition bowling attacks. Gary was also a more than handy right arm medium pace bowler

Marco Caponecchia
Marco was another local junior who rose through the ranks to become a reliable wicket keeper and lower middle order batsman. Marco's work continues with the club as the current President

Robert Main
Robert joined the club from Cessnock and was a longtime 1st Grade allrounder. A right arm seam bowler and a competent lower order batsman.

David Gyler
David was a left arm spinner from Cessnock who bowled with guile and good control. Ever reliable.
Tony Austin
Tony was a right arm fast bowler and product of the Stockton Junior Cricket Club. Tony was as fast as any in the district on his day.
Robert Humphries
Robert was a lively left handed opening bowler who joined the club from Maitland and took 4 for 19 in the 1980 final as Newcastle City were bowled out for 49.
