Q: Gareth Wyatt has had a decorated career playing in the Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association.

He is a Life Member of Main Ridge Cricket Club where he hit 14 centuries at an impressive average of 45.49. He was Main Ridge Club Champion player in consecutive seasons from 1998/99 to 2002/03 and again from 2010/11 to 2013/14.

Gareth also played for Mt Eliza CC in the MPCA and represented the MPCA in Victorian Country Cricket league weeks on a number of campaigns.

Q: Michael Flahive played most of his cricket in the South East Cricket Association competition with Highett West Cricket Club where he is a life member.

For 5 seasons he’s been playing in the Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association competition with Carrum Downs Cricket club.

Who has been your funniest teammate?

Josh Rowe. He was an ice hockey goalkeeper for Australia. Was the toughest and funniest bloke I’ve known. Not sure the humour was intentional, but geez we got a good laugh from him. Had his teeth knocked out from a dirty full toss while he was at short leg. Refused to go to hospital.

Q: Adam Voigt is the President of Dromana Cricket Club in the Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association.

He started out in the MPCA juniors and seniors with Delacombe Cricket Club before joining Dromana as captain coach.

He then moved to Darwin and played for Waratah Cricket Club in Darwin Premier Cricket.

What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket?

Winning the 1992/93 flag with Delacombe Park CC. It was a huge breakthrough moment for the club. I remember seeing old-timers in tears and knowing we’d done something pretty special.

Q: Powell Cooper is a legendary figure at Frankston East (Ballam Park) Cricket Club.

He played just about all his cricket at Ballam formerly Frankston East Cricket Club, taken over a 1,000 wickets, if a Life member and former President of the club.

I was lucky enough to play a game of cricket for the Victorian Schoolboys and was in awe playing against the Cavaliers. Desmond Haynes was playing with Dandenong and Malcolm Marshall was playing with Moorabin and they both played in that game. It was an amazing experience.

What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket?

Playing a game with son Jonah in the lower grades at YCW and playing in a tied grand final for Moorooduc against Pearcedale and winning it as we finished on top. Fiery encounter!

Q: Adrian Mack - keep it simple

Adrian Mack has played all his cricket on the Peninsula. He’s played for Pines Cricket Club in the Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association and coached Pines, Langwarrin and Baxter Cricket Club.

He is also a very proud of being first grade player number 9 for Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club when they entered the District Cricket (now Victoria Premier Cricket) competition in 1993/94.

I started my cricketing journey at Delacombe Park where I played all my juniors and some seniors. I then went to Frankston for a short stint which included playing for the Vic under 19’s and playing for Frankston’s first eleven. I was still a youngster in the 19’s and made the most runs for us in the under 19 carnival. From there I gave up cricket for a little while before returning back to the MPCA which included a stint at Long Island CC and one provincial flag, Delacombe Park CC, Heatherhill CC (two Provincial Flags and the Vic 20/20 cup at the MCG. Ferntree Gully footballer CC, Baxter CC (one Provincial Flag)
