My son has anxiety, and I am keen for him to play a sport. Can I ask what people think cricket being a suitable sport for children with anxiety and lack confidence in social situations?

I think it would all depend on whether he loved it and had a team of like minded players - similar ability, at least one person he knows etc. The last thing you want is for your son to feel anxious about letting his team down. If he's young he should start with Woolies Blast / Master Blasters so there is zero pressure and parents are involved as well. It's all about skill development so you can see what he thinks with no massive commitment. Typically this suits u10s and younger.
