Despite being all over Minor Premiers Hillgrove in 1961, A-Res grade could only manage a draw. B grade also bowed out after being well beaten by Public Service. It was different story in 1984, 1sts winning a tight contest with Hillgrove and 2nd grade taking up Easts challenge and winning outright after a comfortable first innings lead thanks to Jack Trestrail and Victor Crew.
