On the 20th and 27th February 1999 Valley District Cricket Club First Grade team played Beenleigh Logan Cricket Club in Round 11 of the Brisbane Grade Cricket Competition.

The game is known as JH Dawes 10 wickets.

Despite being bowled out for 189 Valley won the game by an innings and 95 runs.

Former Queensland fast bowler Joe Dawes match figures for Valley – 25.1 overs, 11 maidens, 16 wickets, 33 runs.

Dawes 2nd innings bowling – 16.4 overs, 8 maidens, 10 wickets, 18 runs.

An incredible game of cricket.
