On the 14 August 1948 Ray Lindwall took the new ball in the 5th test of the Australian and England Ashes series at The Oval and was instrumental in setting up Australia’s victory by an innings and 149 runs.
Lindwall bowled 16.1 overs including 5 maidens and took 6 for 20 as England were bowled out for 52.
